Orticolario 2025 – For children
From October 2 to 5 at Villa Erba (Cernobbio, Lake Como)
Orticolario offers a rich educational and creative program for children, with the aim of bringing them closer to nature and stimulating their imagination and environmental awareness.
The FuoriOrticolario* project, in collaboration with the Municipality of Cernobbio, involves over a thousand local school students on October 2 and 3, with visits to installations, workshops, shows, and sensory trails. During the weekend, the Ala Regina will be transformed into a space dedicated to children aged 3 to 13, with activities tailored to different age groups: from garden paintings to creations with seeds and leaves, from art inspired by Dürer and Arcimboldo to cooking with aromatic herbs, carpentry, beekeeping, fairy-tale terrariums, and treasure hunts.
There are also immersive Snoezelen experiences for families, puppet shows, and a special library, Fiori da leggere (Flowers to Read). Workshops are limited in number and require registration. The funds raised support the “Amici di Orticolario” Fund, which finances cultural and social projects in the area.
Orticolario is a cultural event dedicated to those who live nature as a lifestyle, with themed gardens, installations, selected exhibitors, and activities that combine art, landscape, and solidarity.
